Château Martinet 2017 in Magnum is a red wine from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, offering aromas of ripe black fruit, woody and spicy notes, with a round palate and elegant tannins.
Description
Château Martinet, in Saint-Émilion, is a historic 18th-century estate surrounded by 17 hectares of vines. The 2017 vintage is made mainly from Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, grown on sandy-gravel soils. This wine has a deep ruby colour. The nose reveals aromas of crushed blackberry, blackcurrant and raspberry, accompanied by fine touches of liquorice, vanilla and caramelisation. On the palate, it has a smooth texture with notes of fleshy black fruit, jammy raspberry, sweet tobacco and dark chocolate. The tannins are fine and firm, ensuring a long finish. This wine can be enjoyed now or after a few years' cellaring.
