Description
This MARQUES de RISCAL RIOJA Reserva 2019 is produced by one of Spain's finest Bodegas. Los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal. For the record, the architect of the main winery is the same man who designed the Guggenheim Foundation in Bilbao ... Mr Franck Gehry.
This is also a great Bodega, because the quality of the wines is always exceptional. This Bodega only produces Reserva (24 months in barrel and 12 months in bottle) and Gran Reserva (32 months in barrel and 12 months in bottle). Time is MARQUES de RISCAL's best ally in bringing out the best in Tempranillo, the king of Rioja grapes.
The result is a beautiful Rioja red wine with a deep cherry-red colour. The nose is marked by ripe fruit, spices and hints of roasting. Round and supple on the palate, the 24 months of ageing are noticeable but the whole is very well-balanced and pleasant.
