Description
Tasting of The Unique Blend by Michel Couvreur
The nose begins with notes of flowers, cereals, figs and peaches. On the palate, this whisky is very indulgent, with notes of coconut milk, vanilla and pear. It has a fine finish with pleasant notes of vanilla and menthol.
Michel Couvreur Distillery
Michel started out as a Burgundy wine producer and merchant. In 1956, he bought the Molet cellars in Bouze-lès-Beaune. Working in Scotland, he learned how to make whisky. His daughter and her husband took over the business in 2013, with the help of the cellar master. Michel Couvreur's whiskies are aged in the Bouze-lès-Beaune cellar, which is exceptional. It has ideal conditions for maturing whisky (humidity, silence, calm and depth). Michel Couvreur whiskies demonstrate their meticulous work in blending, as each cask is monitored individually and each bottle is given special care during the process. These are whiskies of the highest quality, with plenty of roundness and balance.
