Description
Benromach 10 years Speyside. Generous on the peat flavors which declines around the aromas of burnt wood, ash and chimney fire. Smoked fish, hint of liquorice. A persistent finish on peat, but in a much more medicinal, cardamom, eucalyptus register. Drawing its spring water from the neighboring Romach hills, this single malt comes from the blending of bourbon and sherry barrels. The mixture is left to dry for a few months in oloroso sherry casks of which only Gordon & MacPhail has the secret. A peaty version worthy of a Southern Islay.
