Description
Tasting of Flaming Feast Whisky by the Wemyss Family
On the nose, aromas of sweets and marshmallows take the first steps, followed by notes of sea air and sweetly scented smoke. On the palate, flavours of honey, caramel and marshmallow explode with hints of salted oatmeal biscuits, rollmops and scallops. The finish is delicious, with toasted wholemeal bread, peanut butter and peppery spices.
The Wemyss family
William and Isabella Wemyss (brother and sister) began their journey into spirits in 2005, the year WEMYSS MALTS was created. William has a background in the family's French vineyards, and with the family's Scottish roots, he began to discover the blending of quality single malt whiskies. The whisky, the new make spirit, the oak casks and the mature whisky have all been carefully selected by William's sister Isabella. The aim is to produce very high quality blended malt Scotch whiskies, made in limited quantities.
