The Famous Story of Squadron 303
Named after the most fearsome Royal Air Force squadron of the Second World War, Squadron 303. Made up of Polish and British pilots, they introduced each other to their favourite spirits. The Poles introduced their allies to vodka and the English to English, Scotch and Irish whiskies. Also known as the Blend of Freedom, this whisky was served in the pubs of Edinburgh in Scotland, frequented by the pilots of Squadron 303.
Tasting Squadron 303 Peated Vodka The Peat Fire
To begin with, the nose reveals notes of open fire and fruit, a surprising but winning combination. The palate is a fine blend of butter, slightly acid smokiness, red fruit and mineral flavours. The finish reveals some lovely floral touches.
