The origin Birlou is an apple and chestnut liqueur from the central massif. To consume on the rock or as a long drink or as a cocktail base. At the origin of this liquor there is a local habit of associating chestnut cream and apple syrup, added with beer. The name Birlou comes from Bir for beer, Lou as a reminder of "pelou", name given in the Massif Central to the spicy bug of chestnut.
