La Trappe Dubbel Brune, a Trappist beer from Holland
This dark beer is a Trappist beer produced by the monks of Koningshoeven Abbey in the Netherlands. The profits from the beers produced by the abbey are donated to charity.
Trappe Dubbel Brune is a double top fermentation beer at 7% vol. In your glass you will notice its dark colour with ruby highlights and its generous beige head. On the nose, the aromas are delicious, ranging from chocolate and toffee to vanilla and fruit. On the palate, toasted malt dominates, followed by caramel, chocolate, dried fruit and vanilla, finishing with a hint of bitterness.
