Description

Bocathéva 10 ans is an exceptional rum from Venezuela, made from molasses of the Romana and Cubana sugar cane varieties. Harvested between December and May each year, the molasses is of the highest quality, requiring 2.24 kg to produce one litre of rum. After fermentation for 12 to 16 hours and distillation in four columns, the rum is aged for 10 years in American oak barrels in the tropical climate of Venezuela, giving the spirit exotic aromas and a lovely roundness.

On the nose, it reveals a bouquet of aniseed, vanilla, lemon, cinnamon, cloves, grapes and coffee beans. On the palate, a light, complex bitterness emerges, with star anise, smoked plum and other herbs dominating, leading to a spicy finish.
