Description

Delord's Bas Armagnac is distinguished by its rich and complex aromatic palette. From the very first sip, fruity notes of green apple and ripe pear mingle with delicate floral aromas. On the palate, Bas Armagnac reveals a velvety smoothness, underpinned by spicy notes of cinnamon and vanilla. The finish is long and lingering, with accents of toasted hazelnut and prune, offering a taste experience that is both elegant and gourmet. Each sip is a symphony of flavours, with each note blending harmoniously to create a unique and memorable sensation.
Bas Armagnac Delord is made using a meticulous, traditional process. The grapes, mainly of the Ugni Blanc and Baco varieties, are harvested at optimum ripeness, then pressed to extract a high-quality must. Distillation takes place in copper stills, preserving the aromas and flavours of the grapes. The resulting distillate is then aged in oak casks, where it acquires its characteristic amber colour and aromas. Ageing in oak casks, often from the Tronçais forest, gives Delord Bas Armagnac a unique complexity and depth. Every stage of production is carried out with meticulous care, guaranteeing exceptional quality.
Delord, founded in 1893, is one of the oldest and most respected houses in the world of Armagnac. Located in Lannepax, in Gascony, the Delord distillery perpetuates age-old traditions while constantly innovating. The Delord family, passionate about the art of distillation, has preserved traditional methods while incorporating modern techniques to guarantee exceptional quality. Today, the House of Delord is renowned for its exceptional Armagnacs, appreciated by connoisseurs and enthusiasts the world over. Each bottle of Bas Armagnac Delord carries the heritage and expertise of several generations.
Bas Armagnac Delord has received numerous awards and accolades from guides and specialist rating sites. It has been praised for its exceptional quality and unbeatable value for money. Renowned critics such as the Guide Hachette des Vins and the Wine Enthusiast website have awarded high marks to this Bas Armagnac, highlighting its aromatic complexity and finesse on the palate. These awards testify to Maison Delord's commitment to producing spirits of excellence, respectful of tradition and terroir.
