Whiskey LAGAVULIN 12 Years Special Release 2023 The Ink of Legends. This is a version that is worth the detour because it is the result of double maturation in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and in 18-month-old ex Don Julia Anejo Tequila barrels. In addition to the classic smoky, vegetal and peaty notes, we find a lot of sweetness and fruitiness. On the nose, this Lagavulin Brut de Fût offers beautiful vegetal notes, hints of smoke and the iodine notes of fleur de sel. The palate is creamy, citrus notes of peat, smoke and honey appear. The finish is very long, the smoke persists as well as the salty and iodized notes.
