Description
This OBAN 11 Year Old Whisky The Soul of Calypso SPECIAL RELEASE 2023 has been finished in rum casks to create a sweet and salty contrast when tasted. The iodine and salt characteristics of Oban are present on the palate, but are complemented by notes of exotic fruit and sugar cane. We really liked the iodine notes on the nose, as well as the citrus and exotic fruit flavours. The palate is very fruity, driven by notes of exotic fruit, and the saline notes come through more on the finish, with a hint of spice.
