Description
Irish Whiskey CONNACHT Single Malt Batch 1. It's a small event, this Irish Single Malt Whiskey is the first creation of this very young distillery which started distilling in 2016. Three traditional copper stills of the "pot still" type equip this distillery. The ambition to make quality and accessible single malts is clearly at the origin of the project.
This first opus is a single malt aged for 4 years in Bourbon barrels then aged for 6 months in Sherry barrels.
The result is a very pleasant and fruity whiskey. The color is pale gold, the nose evokes the world of dried fruits, including currants, hazelnuts and almonds. Then notes of salted butter caramel and anise appear. On the palate the raisins are confirmed, notes of honey and hazelnut mingle. The finish finds the nose of salted butter caramel and notes of anise.
