Description

GLEN MORAY 10 Year Old Fired Oak Speyside Single Malt Whisky. This is the blend of a Glen Moray 10 year old aged in a classic ex Bourbon cask with another 10 year old aged in ex Bourbon casks but much more toasted (burnt) before their first Bourbon filling.

The impact of this more intense toasting gives this Glen Moray 10yo plenty of roundness and intense notes of spice and vanilla. 

The nose also reveals notes of exotic fruit and salted butter toffee. The palate then reveals aromas of blackcurrant, caramel and vanilla. The finish then reveals notes of cocoa, the vanilla intensifies and finally a hint of smokiness linked to the intense burning that gives this version of Glen Moray its name, Fired Oak.
