SPYTAIL Black Ginger Rum
Description
Spytail rum takes its name from a famous American propeller-driven submarine nicknamed Spytail, which was used to transport rum between the Caribbean and the United States clandestinely in the 19th century. This rum is indeed French, produced in the Cognac region of south-west France.
This rum is made from sugar cane molasses, which is then infused with black ginger root, as the name suggests. This atypical distillation gives the rum its unique spicy aromas, as well as vanilla, caramel and fresh fruit flavours. Spytail Black Ginger rum is often drunk neat or on the rocks, but if you prefer, it can also be enjoyed as a cocktail. This rum deserves to be savoured, but in moderation of course.
