Description
Single Malt Whiskey GLEN MORAY PHOENIX Rising is the rebirth of everything that characterized the Glen Moray distillery. This Speyside distillery was founded in 1897 and it has had many stories, including fires which destroyed a large part. Like the Phoenix she has always stood up, she has always been able to somehow rise again from her ashes.
This Speyside whiskey is the result of great rigor in the selection of malted barleys. After the distillations, this eau de vie is left to age in new barrels whose interiors have been burned at high intensity.
The result is a Speyside single malt whose aromas on the nose evoke caramel, almost crème brulée, of milk chocolate, ginger and pepper. On the palate we find notes of caramel, then aging in barrels brings spicy notes including vanilla and ginger. The finish confirms the pepper notes then malt notes appear.
