Description

Tullibardine 228 Burgundy, a rather Rare Finish in the Whisky World

Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Finish single malt has been matured for 12 months in 228-litre casks from the Chassagne Montrachet appellation in Burgundy. A finish rarely seen in the world of whiskies. This red wine is renowned for its beautiful palette of red and black fruits. The Tullibardine distillery is located in Blackford, a village in County Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Brewing and distilling have been practised here since the 1800s, but the current distillery has only been open since 1949.

Tasting Tullibardine 228 Burgundy

A bottle that's very easy to drink, with the red fruit flavour brought out by the Burgundy casks. Tullibardine 228 Burgundy falls into the summer whisky category, not the most complex, but brilliant in its clean, frank expression. Dominant aromas and flavours: malt, red fruit, toasted oak, honey, vanilla, creamy, medium-bodied, slightly dry.
