Gracefully reigning at the summit of the Saint-Émilion hierarchy is Château Angelus

adorned with the prestigious title of Grand Cru Classé A. Within these walls, a perfect alliance unfolds between an exceptional terroir and the de Boüard de Laforest family, the guardians of this estate. Their labor has shaped the vineyard over several decades, leaving their mark on both the rows of vines and the renown of the cru. Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal takes the reins of this remarkable vineyard.

Generously endowed by nature, this domain spans 52 hectares, with 27 forming the 1st Grand Cru Classé. Like a natural amphitheater, it rises on the southern slope of Saint-Émilion, ensuring natural soil drainage and a delicate balance between limestone and clay. A daring choice of grape varieties in this terroir sees Cabernet Franc rise to 46%.

The resulting wines, elegant and precise, unveil a sweetness with velvety tannins, celebrating the full splendor of fruity richness, complemented by the superb menthol and toasty tones from the aging process. Their destiny is marked by exceptional longevity, promising remarkable aging potential.
