Domaine de Bourg-Neuf Saumur wines

The Domaine de Bourg-Neuf is located in the Loire Valley in the Saumure Champigny appellation. This wine estate has been cultivating 35 hectares of vines for 4 generations. The family estate was created in 1955 by winegrower Raymond Joseph. The grapes are grown on chalky and sandy soils with flint. The main grape variety grown by Bourg-Neuf is Cabernet Franc (95%) for the red wines and only 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and Pineau d'Aunis for the estate's white wines.

Saumur Champigny Red Loire Wine

This red Saumur Champigny is produced in the Loire region by the Domaine de Bourg-Neuf. It is a single-varietal wine made from 100% Cabernet Franc grown on vines around 35 years old. This red wine from the Loire is light with aromas of fresh red fruit such as raspberry and cherry. On the palate, it is fresh and supple. Saumur Champigny red can be enjoyed as an aperitif, with white meat, charcuterie or light cheeses.
