The name Ducru-Beaucaillou comes from the name of the former owner, Mr Bertrand Ducru, who benefited from a beautiful stony terroir.

La Croix DUCRU-BEAUCAILLOU Saint Julien 2019 du Château Ducru-Beaucaillou.
This wine is not strictly speaking the second wine of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou as such, since its own plots are dedicated to this cuvée. La Croix Ducru- Beaucaillou 2018 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. It spent 12 months in wood, 60% of which were new barrels. Its colour is a beautiful red with hints of purple. On the nose, there are hints of tobacco and truffle, the sign of a well-controlled woodiness. On the palate, we are drawn to fruity, vegetal notes that evoke the first steps in an undergrowth cellar.
