Description
The cane used for this Trois Rivières Cuvée de l'Océan rum comes from the Anse Trabaud plot south of Martiniqnue. The Cuvée de l'Océan Trois Rivières offers mineral, iodine and saline notes which explains the choice of name. It is the best rum for ti-punch. A little history ! The Trois Rivières distillery owes its name to the district where it has been established since the end of the 17th century. Superintendent Fouquet was the owner but never stayed there. At the end of the 18th century the distillery was bought by Etienne Marraud des Grottes but the exploitation was left fallow in favor of that of Céron, located in the north of the island , which he also owns. It was not until the dawn of the 20th century that a sugar factory was built on the seaside, taking the name of SA Trois Rivières. The brand 3 Rivières appeared in 1976, it passed into the hands of the Martini Rossi Group then was bought in 1994 by La Mauny.
