Description
This HSE Rum from the Finitions du Monde range is finished in Kilchoman whisky casks from the Isle of Islay.
L'Habitation Saint-Etienne (HSE) has shown a great deal of creativity in recent years. The Finitions du Monde collection allows these magnificent Martinique rums to express another facet of their personality through innovative aging and finishing processes.
Initially, this HSE rum spends 6 and a half years in oak casks, then it is transferred to an ex-Kilchoman whisky cask for 6 months. This is where the peaty and maritime notes of this Islay whisky meet the characteristics of a well-aged Martinique rum.
On the nose, tropical notes combine with peaty and slightly smoky notes. The palate is marked by gentle spices and hints of tobacco, with a touch of peat on the finish.
