The history of Saint James white agricultural rum.

Since 1765, Saint James has mastered the craft and tradition of distilling agricultural rum from pure, fresh Martinique sugar cane juice. The plantations used to produce this rum are located in Sainte Marie in the north-east of the island. The Saint James distillery is a pioneer and is committed to a CSR approach to the production of its rums.

Production methods for Saint James white agricultural rum

This 40° alcohol white rum is the result of a production process designed to minimise the impact on the environment. Bagasse (the fibrous residue of sugar cane) is recovered for compost, which is used in the fields and to power the boilers in the columns. After fermentation, the cane juice is distilled in a traditional Creole column.
