What does tasting Anacaona Ambrée Grande Réserve Rum tell you?

The magnificent colour is incredibly golden and full of sparkle. On the nose, this rum reveals its delicacy through notes of mead, cut flowers and pastry. On the palate, it's smooth and very lively, thanks in particular to its spicy, honeyed flavour, which brings out fine hints of chilli pepper in the aftertaste. It all adds up to a well-balanced, pleasant finish.

Se "Anacaona" is produced in the traditional way, with a blend from the capital Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The blend is based on a selection of around ten traditional rums, all aged between 3 and 5 years.

Why the name Anacaona?

The name Anacaona originally refers to the very first Hispaniola Indians, and more specifically to their most emblematic figure, Anacaona. A great leader of the tribe, she was a princess known for her intellectual and physical qualities, including her open-mindedness.
