To begin with, this rum has a beautiful golden colour. On the nose, you can smell caramel, spices and toast. All very well balanced. On the palate, it's magnificently refined, with wood and caramel notes. Its profile is therefore rather aromatically spirituous, spicy and sweet.
Mount Gay Distilleries Ltd
Today the company's deed of ownership dates back to 1703, giving Mount Gay Rum exclusive rights to the oldest rum brand in the world. In 1989, the distillery was bought by the Rémy Cointreau spirits group. Mount Gay Rum is sold in 110 countries and its main export market is the United States.
