The exceptional wine from this 3rd Grand Cru Classé within the Saint-Julien region, Château Lagrange

is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes, sourced from diverse soils primarily rich in silicates and gravel, layered over a foundation of clay and limestone.

Carefully hand-picked, the berries undergo fermentation in controlled-temperature tanks, a process lasting anywhere from 18 to 25 days. After meticulous selection, the finest batches are combined, followed by an aging period of approximately 20 months in oak barrels, with a significant portion using new wood, around 60%.

These wines skillfully harmonize elegance, finesse, depth, and a touch of robustness.

Designed for prolonged maturation, they may exhibit a certain austerity in their initial years. A few years of patient cellaring are thus necessary to soften their character and unveil the full expanse of their aromatic bouquet and texture.
