This 8% beer has a bewitching cherry flavour and is powerful with a round finish. It is the result of a blend of highly fermented beers matured for 2 years in authentic oak casks. Its colour is an intense red. This beer has a lovely fresh acidity, making it an exceptional beverage for lovers of specialities.

In 1545, Joos Roman set up a bed and breakfast called "De Clocke" in Mater (Belgium), close to the French border. There were several activities, including an inn, a farm, a flour mill, a malt house and, logically, a brewery. The current foundations date from 1930. Before the Second World War, Roman was at the height of its fame thanks to the Brune d'Audenarde. 1945 saw the end of the war and the start of reconstruction, but with the arrival of Romy Pils, the brewery was given a new lease of life. Louis Roman decided to renew the brewery by offering a variety of special beers. These more balanced beers appeal to a wide audience. Carlo and Lode Roman (14th generation) now run the brewery. Carrying on the tradition with a drive for innovation, they continue to expand the ancestral know-how of the brewery, which has been in existence for many generations since 1545.
