Adriano Ramos Pinto founded Ramos Pinto in 1880. His high-quality port wines enabled him to establish a foothold in Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century. He very quickly became master of 50% of South American wine exports. He won over port wine enthusiasts throughout Europe. With the constant aim of innovating its wines, Ramos Pinto has created some unique nectars, giving them their own distinctive stamp. In 1990, Ramos Pinto became part of the Roederer Group, which has a similar history. Joining forces to increase their worldwide renown. This has resulted in a new range of dry, red and white wines.

Tasting of Ramos Pinto LBV Port

Ramos Pinto LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) Port is the fruit of a single year's work. Very nice notes of chocolate and cheese. Once the bottle has been opened, it can be kept at its best for 15 to 30 days. This is an unfiltered wine. Did you know? Vintage ports are bottled in their second year, while LBVs are bottled in their fourth year. This port is fruity, tannic and powerful.
