Description
This Pommard from Domaine Nicolas Rossignol is a wine that combines power and elegance. Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, it reflects an exceptional terroir between Beaune and Volnay, on clay-limestone soils rich in iron oxide.
Deep red in colour, with aromas of red fruit, wood and spices. On the palate, the tannins are firm and powerful.
Domaine Nicolas Rossignol works on 17 hectares of vines spread over 30 appellations, but it is nevertheless one of the benchmarks in Pommard.
Nicolas Rossignol represents the 5th generation of a family of winegrowers. His vines are between 30 and 65 years old, and face due south, mostly at the top of the Pommard hill.
