MOHUA Pinot Noir Red Wine from New Zealand 2017 75 cl
MOHUA Pinot Noir Red Wine from New Zealand Peregrine Estate
Description
Mohua Pinot Noir the 2nd most cultivated grape variety in New Zealand
In New Zealand, Sauvignon Blanc is the most widely grown grape variety, accounting for over 70% of the total, followed by Pinot Noir, which covers 7% of New Zealand's wine-growing area. Mohua Wine is a 100% Pinot Noir grown in the Central Otago region, considered to be one of the best terroirs in the world for growing this grape variety. The 2017 vintage of Mohua wine is excellent in the Central Otago region, which benefited from very good weather conditions for the grapes.
Tasting Mohua Pinot Noir
On the nose, Mohua offers very fine aromas of blackberries, spices and black fruits, as well as some rather floral notes. On the palate, this vintage has plenty of character, with flavours of black and red fruit, spices, some fine, well-balanced tannins and a woody side thanks to its 10 months' ageing in French oak barrels. This type of ageing adds complexity and balance to this New Zealand pinot noir. We recommend that you enjoy this Mohua Pinot Noir with red meat, mature cheeses, barbecues or grilled meats.
