New Grove Rhum
New Grove rum, a rum from Mauritius aged in the French style
In 1838, Dr Pierre Charles François Harel and his brother founded a sugar cane plantation on the Jardin aux Pamplemousses estate and then bought the Belle Vue sugar plantation. In 1932, the family bought the OK & Co distillery and naturally used its sugar canes to produce their rum. The distillery will be renamed Grays Distilling. The recent cooperation between the Grays Distilling distillery in Mauritius and the Groupe Reunionnais Quartier Français (Rivière du Mat and Savanna) has resulted in the creation of the New Grove range of rums.
New Grove rums have taken their place among the finest rums in Mauritius.
The men of the Quartier Français group brought to New Grove another vision of aging in barrels and the aging of rums.
