Description
Maury Miraille AOP Lafage 2022 is made from Grenache Noir grapes from vines that are an average of 45 years old, located on south-facing slopes. Yields are low, around 15 hectolitres per hectare, which ensures optimum concentration of aromas. After cold maceration to extract the aromatic compounds, fermentation is interrupted by mutage, then the wine is matured in stainless steel vats for several months. The result is a wine with a deep purple colour and a complex bouquet of ripe black fruit, figs, light tobacco and spices. The palate is generous, with a silky texture and intense flavours of blackberry, kirsch cherry, dark chocolate and a hint of pepper, building to a long, harmonious finish.
