Do you know the Vin de la Vallée du Rhône 50-Cinquante by Louis Cheze?
Louis Cheze's Vin 50 - cinquante takes its name from its blend of 50% Syrah and 50% Merlot. This garnet-red wine is matured for 6 months in stainless steel or concrete vats, depending on the vintage. It comes from the Rhône Valley in the Vin de France appellation, between 2 of the region's great appellations: Condrieu and Saint Joseph.
The 50 - cinquante should be enjoyed at room temperature, ideal with barbecues and a variety of traditional dishes. The nose is dominated by blackcurrants, while the palate is dominated by stewed fruit with a lovely roundness and fullness.
Domaine Louis Cheze
This estate has been family-owned since 1978 and was taken over by Mr Louis Cheze. It covers 45 hectares. The estate is located in the Rhône Valley, 60 km south of Lyon on the right bank of the Rhône.
