Description

Luxardo Maraschino Original Liqueur 32° 70cl is an emblematic product of the Luxardo distillery, founded in 1821 in Zara, now in Croatia, and now based in Padua, Italy. Made from Marasca cherries grown exclusively by Luxardo, this liqueur features an authentic recipe dating back almost two centuries.

The cherries are carefully selected, then infused for three years in larch wood casks before being distilled in copper stills. After distillation, the liqueur is aged for a year in Finnish ash barrels, then sweetened with sugar syrup to achieve perfect sweetness while retaining subtle complexity.

On the palate, Luxardo Maraschino Original Liqueur 32° 70cl has a clear colour, with no added colour. The nose reveals typical aromas of Marasca cherries, with a discreet hint of roasted hazelnuts. The palate is smooth and clean, with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla and orange marmalade.

It's ideal for cocktails, such as the Aviation, Last Word or Hemingway Daiquiri. You can also enjoy it neat or use it in cooking to add a fruity, original touch to your desserts.

A little anecdote: the bottle is wrapped in plaited straw, a tradition inherited from the earliest days of production, when straw was used to protect bottles during transport.
