Johnnie Walker Double Black is a deep golden whisky from Scotland. This blended whisky is the creation of Jim Beveridge, a master blender. Johnnie Walker Double Black is modelled on the Black Label that was Winston Churchill's favourite Scotch whisky, with the addition of more peaty malts, some of which are aged in heavily charred oak casks.
How to taste Johnnie Walker Double Black Whisky?
Like many Scotch whiskies, it will be peaty and smoky. On the nose we find raisins, peat and smoke. On the palate, aromas of apples, pears and oranges mixed with vanilla and spices add complexity to the tasting.
The finish is woody and smoky.
