MIGAKI SHOCHU Very Old Japanese Oak Cask Aged Barley Distilled Shochu
Description
The Magali distillery has been in existence since 1957 in the village of Mollewed Kozuru in Japan. This Magali Shochu whisky is distilled using only unmalted barley, koji and water. Magaki shochu is a very aromatic whisky with a lot of sweetness due to the distillery's geographical location. This Japanese whisky is aged for 5 years in sherry and bourbon casks.
On the nose, aromas of lychee and citrus fruits such as grapefruit stand out. On the palate, there are hints of white flowers, aniseed and white chocolate. The finish is more pepper, eucalyptus and flowers, with a long finish.
This whisky is perfect as an aperitif or after-dinner drink!
