Description
The Ardnahoe distillery was established in 2017 not far from Port Askaig by the Hunter laing family. this 9th Islay Distillery is located in the north of the Island just opposite the Island of JURA. This Inaugural Release is a 5 year old whiskey aged in Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry barrels. Bottled without artificial coloring or cold filtration. The Dress offers a very beautiful mahogany. The nose offers fruity notes including red fruits and peach and apricot. a hint of vanilla is also expressed. We also detect a hint of salinity on the nose. Like all Islay single malts, this inaugural vintage of Ardnahoe is powerfully peaty and round at the same time, this balance is remarkable. the finale once again evokes iodine notes.
