Renowned as the best Irish whiskey in the world for its perfect balance and Scotch whisky-like complexity. It is often said that Redbreast is the nectar of Ireland. In 1966, John Jameson & Son decided to combine the whiskey companies John Power & Son and Cork Distillers company to form Irish Distillers Ltd. which is now a subsidiary of the Pernod-Ricard group. Production was brought together at the Midleton distillery in Cork in a brand new building, which is now the most modern distillery in the world. The distillery's historic former building has been transformed into a museum. The Jameson Heritage Centre is a large complex reminiscent of bygone days. This Georgian stone building with red shutters was the birthplace of Barry Crockett, who is currently the manager of the Midleton distillery.

Tasting the Redbreast Lustau Edition Single Pot Still Sherry Finish

This whisky is a beautiful golden colour with amber highlights. The first notes on the nose are spicy, followed by generous black fruits, plums and figs mixed with roasted wood. This makes for a truly aromatic and fruity whisky. On the palate, it's round and mellow, thanks in particular to its blend of red fruits and spices. The finish is long and sweet, and will delight the taste buds with its sherry notes.
