Irish Whisky TEELING Small Batch DUVEL BEER FINISH.
The collaboration is as follows. The casks travelled to Belgium and Ireland. Casks that had contained Teeling Small Batch whiskey were sent to the Duvel brewery to mature their beer, then sent back to Teeling for the distillery to fill them with their iconic Small Batch.
This Irish Whiskey was matured for a further 12 months in ex-Duvel beer casks. As a result, the nose of this Irish Whisky reveals notes of red fruits and forest fruits. Then notes of salted butter toffee and hops take over. On the palate, notes of pear and sweet spices come to the fore. The finish is reminiscent of citrus fruit, with a hint of pepper and chilli.
As the casks are located in Belgium and Ireland, the DUVEL Moortgat brewery also offers a DUVEL beer matured in Irish Wiskey TEELING casks.
