Description

This 18-year-old Palo Cortado Sherry barrel-finished version of the Highland single malt whiskey Royal Brackla makes a lasting impression. This distillery mentions in its name the distinctive title "Royal" since it received a "royal" mandate in 1833 by King William IV.

The nose offers notes of cookies, spices, vanilla and a hint of orange zest.

On the palate, fruity notes emerge first, evoking notes of peaches and sweet plums, raisins and bitter chocolate.

The finish is very long, marked by woody notes with a sweet and fruity touch and a cereal note including barley.
