Château La Tour Carnet 2021 is an emblematic wine of the Haut-Médoc appellation, ranked 4th Grand Cru in the prestigious 1855 classification. The estate covers 73 hectares. It benefits from a wide range of terroir types.
Château La Tour Carnet 2021 is a blend of 54% Merlot and 46% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Merlot provides the fruit and suppleness, while the Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine its structure. The result is a blend of power and elegance, the signature of the finest Haut Médoc wines.
Château La Tour Carnet is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc. The first grapes were harvested here in 1409. Bernard Magrez became the owner in 2000 and implemented an ambitious investment policy aimed at constantly improving the quality of this wine.
La Tour Carnet 2021 is a beautiful deep red colour, with a nose of black fruits such as blackberry and black cherry, followed by floral notes and a hint of spice.
On the palate, the wine confirms these fruit and spice notes, including liquorice. The tannins are discreet but present and supple. The finish is long, with notes of vanilla and wood.
Château La Tour Carnet 2021 goes perfectly with grilled meats, dishes in sauce and hard cheeses.
