Côte Rôtie Brune & Blonde from Guigal is subtle, fine and delicious. The juice on the palate is fine and loose, with beautiful aromas of black fruits and liquorice. The finish is fresh.

Description

In the range of Guigal wines, the Côte Rôtie holds a special place, it has a dark ruby red color. It smells spicy, with small red fruits and delicate aromas of wood. To taste it will seduce you with its aromas of raspberries, blackberries and vanilla. and its round and melted tannin.

This wine is characterized by a harmony between an imperceptible acidity and tannins giving it good aging potential, however it is softened thanks to prolonged maturation in wood.

It comes from plots of steep terraces, shale and sand-lime soils in Côte-Blonde and rich in iron oxides in Côte-Brune.

He took care of a manual harvest. The grapes that make it up were carefully sorted, the punching down is regular with control of the fermentation temperatures in closed stainless steel vats for almost three weeks.

Aged for a minimum of 36 months in oak barrels. 50% new wood. It is composed of 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier.
