Glenglassaugh Torfa Highland is a single malt whiskey produced in Scotland in the Highlands region.

This whiskey is a whiskey from the Highlands, land known as well for its scotches, with the largest region in terms of scotch whiskey production, as for its Highlanders Games or its famous Loch Ness.
In the Highlands, a region in the north of Scotland, you will find whiskeys of a great diversity, because under the same regional name coexist 30 distilleries, with styles as different as the whiskeys of the islands, with the exception of Islay (Jura, Skyes ...), whiskeys from the fertile plains of the West, whiskeys from mountainous areas like Ben Nevis, and whiskeys from the north like Old Pulteney and Glenmorangie. This is why the Highlands region has been subdivided into 4 production regions which are Eastern Highlands, Central Highlands, Western Highlands and Northern Highlands.

This Glenglassaugh Torfa Highland is a Scottish whiskey. It is in Scotland that you will find the largest quantity of active distilleries with more than 97 malt distilleries recorded. Traditionally, distilleries use double distillation, a regulated distillation since the 17th century! This Glenglassaugh Torfa Highland Scotch Whiskey is a Single Malt. To be a Single Malt a whiskey follows two immutable rules. The whiskey be produced in a single distillery which gives the Single, and come only from malted cereals, the Malt. The malted cereal must be barley, but in rare cases rye is used. Scotland is the largest producer of single malt. These are called Scotch Single Malt Whiskey, but there are other producing nations, for example Japan, India, the Czech Republic or France which also offer tasty Single Malt. The principles are always the same, the whiskey must come from a single distillery and the cereal used must be malted barley.
