Description

GLENGARIOCH 1797 Founder's reserve.

Glen Garioch, is a whiskey distillery founded in 1797 by Thomas Simpson.
It is located in the village of Old Meldrum in Aberdeenshire and is named after the Garioch Valley.
Dismissed in 1995, the distillery has been operational again since 1997

GLENGARIOCH 1797 Founder's Reserve Highlands Single Malt Scotch Whiskey: Taste

Glen Garioch Founders Reserve is slightly peppery on the nose with notes of Danablu cheese, some citrus and hints of grapefruit.
On the palate, lemon-chocolate and 'brandy butter'.
With a small drop of water the whiskey opens and we then discover barley, dry ham and sweet wine.
The finish evokes oak, light smoke, green apple and lemon-chocolate.
