Description
This Pur MALT le COMBATTANT by Franc Tireur is officially a ‘spirit drink’ made from 100% organic barley malt from Normandy. The whole process of brewing, fermenting, distilling and ageing in oak casks is followed at the Franqueville Saint Pierre distillery, near Rouen. We'll have to wait another year before we can call it whisky. It has a lovely golden colour and a nose of herbaceous and fruity notes, including mirabelle plums and prunes. The palate is lively and powerful, the fruit notes are confirmed and spicy notes take over, with a confirmation of the herbaceous notes on the finish.
