Have you heard of L'immortel Gin from L.N Mattei?
On the palate, the first thing you notice is the freshness of the citrus fruit and the typical Corsican lemon, which blossom over discreet touches of juniper. Fennel seeds and immortelle flower accompany the whole. On the nose, juniper berries take centre stage, enhanced by hints of citrus and herbs, followed by marjoram, laurel and fennel. The finish is pleasantly long, with no bitterness. The immortelle offers well-balanced flavours for a gin with a round, floral freshness.
