Presentation of the Diplomatico distillery
The Diplomatico distillery was founded in 1959 in the Miel region of Venezuela. The rums produced at the Diplomatico distillery are meticulously crafted, using only the highest quality sugar cane. The distillery also distinguishes its rums by ageing them in bourbon, sherry and French wine casks. These different casks give the rums a great deal of complexity, with astonishing new flavours.
Tasting Diplomatico Rum Distillery Collection N°2 Barbet
To begin with, the colour of this Barbet Rum is a brilliant golden, magnificent to the naked eye. On the nose, aromas of tropical fruit and toasty oak blend happily together. On the palate, the tasting reveals woody flavours and citrus notes. The finish is delicious, with good length.
