Diplomatico Rum Batch Kettle N°1
This deep gold-coloured rum from Venezuela is a Diplomatico Collection cuvée. Made from high quality cane honeys, this rum is produced using a very special "Batch Kettle" method. This little-known distillation method, which arrived at Diplomatico in 1959, is a semi-artisanal, discontinuous method reserved for the distillation of American whisky. After distillation, this Diplomatico Batch Kettle N°1 rum is aged in American white oak casks containing bourbon and whisky for 6 years.
How to taste this Diplomatico Collection Batch Kettle rum?
The nose is luscious and very vanilla-like, with a hint of red fruit. The palate is generously woody and caramelised, with red fruit on the finish.
The finish is pleasant and soft, with a long, delicate finish.
