Calais Dragon Beer 75 cl
Description
First of all, let's talk about the Dragon de Calais:
The Dragon de Calais is a colossal structure made of steel and sculpted wood: it is the most spectacular and technical structure that François Delarozière has ever imagined. Its incredible manoeuvrability is inspired by reptiles. Very expressive, it spits fire, smoke and water in different forms. Mist escapes from its body through some thirty air vents. Its eyes, eyelids, ears, mouth, tongue and fins are mobile. It can lie down, stand up, run at four kilometres an hour and flap its thick, ribbon-like wings. Its opal-coloured veneer covers six hundred square metres. Forty-eight passengers can access the rear of the boat thanks to the staircases built into the stern.
Legend has it that when the port of Calais was being built, workers opened a sacred stone. This stone at the bottom of the ocean locks the passageway to the Northern Gate and protects the surface of the Earth from buried worlds. The dragon, that marvellous creature, managed to get through the gate and now rests in Calais opposite the port, guarding its entrance.
Its characteristics are also monstrous:
Height: 10 to 12 metres
Width: 5 to 17.5 metres with wings spread
Length: 25 metres
Birth weight: 72 tonnes
Tasting Bière Du Dragon:
This top-fermented blonde ale produced by Vincent Nagot in collaboration with the team at the Pays Flamand brewery. The combination of American and Flanders hops gives this bière du dragon a botanical, herbaceous aroma at first, followed by lovely fruity flavours. You'll notice coconut, citrus and tropical fruits, followed by floral notes.
Created in November 2006 by 2 childhood friends, Olivier Duthoit and Mathieu Lesenne. 2 enthusiasts who decided to turn their passion into a real project. The company was initially set up in Blaringhem, on the border between French Flanders and Artois. A mythical place that saw the birth of Bracine, Anosteké, La Fière, Noko and Wilde Leeuw. Recently, a second, larger production site was built in Merville, enabling us to meet strong demand. Each product is a reminder of the origins of the northern region, and an invitation to enjoy a convivial meal. We're discovering real know-how and original taste, and we don't hesitate to collaborate with international brewers to offer exceptional beers.
