Valentino" red wine from Château Les Valentines is an organic red Côtes de Provence that embodies the elegance and character of the Provencal terroir. This wine is the fruit of a harmonious blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre, grape varieties that thrive in the Mediterranean sunshine. The Château Les Valentines estate, located in La Londe-les-Maures, is a story of family and passion for winegrowing. Created by Gilles Pons and his partner Pascale Massenot, the estate extends over 50 hectares of schist, where vines, pinewoods and garrigue coexist in harmony.

The vinification of 'Valentino' begins with hand-picking of the grapes, followed by traditional maceration. Each grape variety is vinified separately to fully express its characteristics. Syrah brings spicy, peppery notes, while Mourvèdre gives the wine structure and depth. After fermentation, the wine is matured in stainless steel vats for several months before being blended and bottled.

Valentino" has an intense ruby-red colour with purplish tints, reflecting its youth and vitality.

The nose reveals a complex, expressive bouquet. Ripe red fruit aromas, such as cherry and raspberry, dominate, accompanied by hints of garrigue, thyme and rosemary. Spicy, peppery touches from the Syrah complete the picture.

On the palate, the attack is frank and fruity, with an explosion of red fruit flavours. The mid-palate is round and fleshy, with well-integrated tannins providing structure and length. The finish is persistent, with spicy notes and a slight bitterness that beckons you to take another sip.

This Côtes de Provence Bio "Valentino" is a versatile red wine that goes perfectly with grilled meats, dishes in sauce and mature cheeses. It also goes well with Mediterranean cuisine, particularly dishes based on tomatoes and Provençal herbs.

Château Les Valentines takes its name from the old valentines, vineyard sheds where workers used to rest. Gilles Pons, a former computer engineer, took over the estate in 1997 with the aim of restoring this exceptional terroir to its former glory. Today, the estate is certified organic, demonstrating its commitment to environmentally-friendly viticulture.
